JA is proud to announce the completion of our Be Entrepreneurial Programme, by 100 learners from Masiqhakaze Secondary school, in Thembisa.
The Be Entrepreneurial Programme teaches learners the concept of entrepreneurship by introducing learners to experiential entrepreneurship, product development, advertising and business planning, whilst simultaneously getting a head start on their economic and management science (EMS). Upon completion of the programme learners get practical skills by setting up a fully functioning business.
Learning the basics of entrepreneurship helps expose learners to another career option. JA South Africa congratulates all 104 learners who took a step to invest in their future.
“Entrepreneurs solve problems and by empowering learners with the skills gained through our programmes helps us nurture problem solvers”, says Bonga Khumalo National Programme’s coordinator.
“I learnt that entrepreneurship is not all about making money fast. It’s about satisfying people’s needs based on the product you are selling. The myth and facts were the interesting aspect of the programme for me, because we all had different opinions.
Before starting a business, I must first draw up a business plan and I must know my target market. Thank you, Toyota and JA South Africa,” says Thando Shabangu, grade 10 learners from Masiqhakaze Secondary School.
