Motorola Solutions Foundation grant on STEM2D to reach Soweto learners

JA South Africa is proud to announce we have partnered with Motorola Solutions Foundation, the charitable arm of Motorola Solutions. The partnership will see us implement the second Coding & Robotics Innovation Camp this year.

This partnership will see 78 grade 7 students at Emadlelweni Primary School in Dlamini, Soweto, Johannesburg, learn about careers in Science, Technology, engineering and Mathematics (STEM) on Friday 21 August. Due to the strict lockdown regulations, learners will be divided into four classrooms with hygiene measures to ensure adherence to the Covid-19 restrictions.

The Motorola Solutions Foundation awards grants each year to organisations, such as JA South Africa, which supports experiential technology and engineering education initiatives.

With the help of the Motorola Solutions Foundation grants program, JA South Africa will help provide underrepresented and underserved students across the globe with technology and engineering learning.

This year, Motorola Solutions Foundation grants will support programs that help more than 2 million students, teachers, first responders and community members around the globe. There is a specific focus on providing grants to programs that impact underrepresented populations, including females, minorities, people with disabilities, veterans and others.
