Junior Achievement South Africa is excited to announce the 2022 annual Company of the Year (COY) competition, winning team, Aqua Pure, from the North West province who scooped the prize on the 6th October 2022. A total of seven teams in grade 10 – 11 competed for the national title.
Aqua Pure provides a water purifier aimed at reducing the risk water bourne diseases. With just a few drops water is purified and is ready for consumption. The final leg of the competition was streamed live our Facebook page and can be viewed, here.
The team receives R 5000.00 towards any resource required for their school, JM Ntsime Secondary School, Rustenburg in the North West province and will compete for the regional finals from 7-9 December in Lagos, Nigeria.
The COY Competition 2022 is themed Fueling Change Makers with the goal to produce changemakers who will grapple with Africa’s greatest challenges and develop solutions.

Last year’s winners, team Keyscape proudly raised the South African flag, where they won the Best Project Management award and were voted in third place in the Public Choice Awards.
The COY sponsored by Citi Foundation and the Project Managment Institute Education Foundation (PMIEF) bank has seen many of our participants throughout the years go on to refine their business ideas and lead their own businesses.
