Junior Achievement South Africa (JA South Africa) and AIGs’ continued partnership is empowering Grade 7 learners at Bonwelong Primary School in Ivory Park with essential financial literacy skills through JA’s More Than Money program. This initiative provides students with an introduction to identifying entrepreneurial opportunities and prepares them for a successful financial future.
The one-day immersive program offered a six-hour experience for students, using a board game to teach financial literacy through real-world scenarios.
“We are thrilled to once again partner with AIG to bring our More Than Money program to Bonwelong Primary School. Through this initiative, we empower young learners with financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills, setting them on a path to a successful financial future”, says Nelo Phindile Spies, Executive Director of JA South Africa, expressing her enthusiasm for the partnership.
By creatively identifying opportunities within their community, students gained valuable skills that foster entrepreneurship and responsible financial management
“”Partnering with JA South Africa aligns with our commitment to making individuals grow. By investing in the financial education of Grade 7 learners, we are helping to equip them with skills that will benefit them for a lifetime”, this align with our annual Global Volunteer Month of coming together to do what’s right for the communities where we work and live, says George Mashele, AIG’s Marketing and Communications Manager.
The partnership between JA South Africa and AIG reflects a shared vision of empowering young people with the knowledge and tools necessary for long-term success. JA South Africa and AIG look forward to seeing the impact of this program on the students’ future endeavors.
