    JA South Africa is excited to kick off the Citi Foundation programmes 2022

    JA South Africa is excited to announce the 2022 Citi Foundation programmes. Thanks to the Citi Foundation partnership the grant valued at over R 700 000 will see JA South Africa empower over 350 grades 10-11 learners in the JA Enterprise Programme and the Job Shadow programme across Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, and the Western Cape. The programme objective aim to ensures that learners gain an understanding of business and entrepreneurship whilst simultaneously building skills to establish and run a small business. This programme implementation will ultimately see learners participate in the prestigious Company of the Year programme 2022 that learners from across nine provinces present to a panel of judges their business ideas and reporting on how their have fared in gaining customers and running the business.

    Furthermore, to counter the high levels of unemployment before learners even step into the workforce, JA Job Shadow programme provide secondary school students with critical success skills in financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship that prepare them for the real world.

By empowering learners with critical skills in work readiness and entrepreneurship we believe we activate learners for the future jobs, entrepreneurship being one of them”, says Michael Cekiso, National Programmes Manager for JA South Africa.
