JA SOUTH AFRICA AND CROSS COUNTRY EMPOWER LEARNERS TO BE FINANCIALLY SAVVY

Junior Achievement South Africa (JASA) proudly partnered with CrossCountry Consulting South Africa to empower learners at Sedilaka Primary School in Gauteng with the JA’s More Than Money one-day initiative. This collaboration aimed to equip over 800 students with essential financial literacy skills to prepare them for their future.

This immersive six-hour program included a board game that allowed students to learn financial literacy skills through play in a real-world setting. By creatively identifying opportunities in their community, students gained valuable skills that fostered entrepreneurship and responsible financial management.

Financial literacy is an important skill, and when nurtured at a young age, it goes a long way in developing critical financial skills that serve beneficiaries for a lifetime,” said Nelo Phindile Spies, Executive Director at Junior Achievement South Africa. “Students also gained practical tips on identifying opportunities within their community, fostering financial savvy in the process.”

We’re thrilled to support JA South Africa! Our South Africa team enjoyed volunteering their time to provide financial literacy resources to over 800 students.

The collaboration is creating boundless opportunity with the aim to position South African youth for a global economy.

We believe in our ability to make a difference in our communities, and through our partnership with Junior Achievement South Africa , we are dedicated to helping the next generation gain the essential skills necessary to thrive as adults. We are proud to have Cross Country South Africa, says Anita Stemmet, Cross Country Country Partner.
