Junior Achievement South Africa is excited to kick off our Enterprise Programme in partnership with Citi Foundation. The partnership aimed at grade 10-11 learners across three seeks to expose learner’s entrepreneurship.
The Enterprise Programme ensures that learners gain an understanding of business and entrepreneurship by practically running a small business with classmates. This programme implementation will ultimately see learners participate in the prestigious Company of the Year (COY) competition, 2023 themed : Breaking Barriers. This years Company of the Year competition will see teams from across nine provinces present to a panel of judges their business idea and ultimately seeing the winning team participating in the regional finals with over 12 other African counterparts.
“The unemployment figures paint a dim picture of South Africa’s economy. Our partnership provides learners with practical entrepreneurial experience. Thanks to this partnership with Citi Foundation, we hope to curb the unemployment by teaching learners that entrepreneurship is a viable career option”, says Bonga Khumalo, Junior Achievement South Africa’s, National Programmes Manager.
