JA South Africa excited to partner with BIC Foundation

Junior Achievement (JA) South Africa is excited to partner with BIC Foundation to implement the JA Be Entrepreneurial (BE) programme in Gauteng, South Africa.

The JA Be Entrepreneurial Programme teaches learners develop the essential components of a business plan and challenges them to start an entrepreneurial venture while still in high school. The programme further supplements the Economic Management Sciences subject requirements at this level of their academic grade.

The partnership will reach over 360 direct beneficiaries and 196 indirect beneficiaries, including parents, working with JA facilitators and a team of volunteers from BIC in 2022. The programme has to date been implemented in over eight schools with super charged learners presenting their business ideas to a judging panel at the end of the programme.

As an organisation, we believe that cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset for our youth no matter what their future career goals are, will set them on the right path towards the future world of work and better prepare them to serve their communities”, says Nelly Mofokeng, Managing Director at JA South Africa.
